Neurodivergent Masking Study

This work examines how neurodivergent people understand and experience masking in various social spaces. With qualitative analysis of community social media and survey data, we found that masking is an adaptive social mechanism to "hack" social access in neurotypical-dominated societies. We urge HCI folkx to re-think technologies for masking/unmasking.
